have any of the gbpvrcli options changed lately? just asking cuz i need something to return show episode titles from command-line that willwork in 97.7 as well as earlier versions..
also, what's the minimum needed to get gbpvrcli working? is there anything i can leave out? [trying to keep d/l size down] tho may just have people install it themselves.. also, what is returned when show is not found in database?
[am still on 96.12 so can't test new version yet]
also was wondering if you knew anything about recinfo.exe or who wrote it?
thanx Smile

I know nothing about recinfo.exe.

None of the GBPVRcli options have changed since the 0.96.12 compatible version but a few more tokens are available.

When a show is not in the database, an empty string is returned.

The download size of SlimmGBPVR is only a few hundred k. The files needed are GBPVRcli.exe and all dll's starting with Slimm.

Note: I just tried the /contains command and it didn't seem to work. I shall investigate.

Glad of your post because I have now spotted this bug and fixed it for the next release. I am adding in another small feature before I release it but I hope it will be released before the weekend.

Not yet, but it is easy for me to add. I shall do so for the next release. You will be able to find completed recordings in the GBPVR database. Instructions will be in the documentation.

ahh, figured the /contains would search all the recordings but i guess not..
hmmm, probably won't work in old version tho huh? [96.12 with .net2.0]
well, guess there's one more incentive to upgrade! Smile
thanx tho..glad to know you're on top of things....
i think the recinfo guy hasn't been back for over a year..
really liking the new version already Big Grin

/contains switch is now fixed on my development version.

/contains does search all items in GBPVR database but the new /recorded switch will allow you to definitely filter for completed (without error) recordings only.

It should work with 96.12 but I couldn't tell you for certain as I'm running 97.07.

I suggest future questions / comments about GBPVRcli be posted on the dedicated GBPVRcli thread.

That's perfect. Ask for enhancements as it will give me good ideas as to what to include / fix for future releases.

My next major feature is the ability to quick record now and next programmes from a menu but I'm not too sure how handy it's going to be. An interesting task, though.

Well, as you asked... Big Grin

Something I'd appreciate would be for the delayed shutdown to work for the next pending recording if there isn't an active one currently underway.

My scenario is that I'm off to bed, but have a recording scheduled in 1/2 an hours time. Hibernation/Standby can be hit and miss for me so I'd have to leave my PC on all night for it to record. It would be great to be able to get it to power off once it's done as you can for in-progress recordings. Hope that makes some kind of sense!
