If I try to use: dir=<OutputDirectory> -- Write xml files to specified path.

as: dir=<N:\> to save the file to my network share mapped as drive N, I get an error that it isn't a valid path, file name, or directory.

What am I doing wrong?

Use dir=N:\

The "<" and ">" were just to show where to put the path.

I hope I'm not missing something obvious, but is there a way to specify the name of the xml file?

You're not missing anything obvious. I just never thought to add that functionality. I have no good reason, it just never occured to me. It has been requested for the MCE app so I plan to add it to this one too. It will be sometime this week.

Can someone please post the contencts of their UpdateEPG.bat file? I'm not sure what it should look like. I'd like the new xml file to overwrite any exisitng one that is located in the GBPVR directory.

Thanks.

whurlston,
I'm not sure where this problem is from, but I am downloading data for 14 days. The log file from your YahooXMLTv.exe says it is downloading data for 14 days. It is then running through Jim's I-XMLTV app, and then I am using TV Listings to display the listings. Problem is that I am only seeing 10 days of listings in GBPVR.

I am going to look at the XML file tonight and see if 14 days of data is in there.

I just wanted to throw it out there beforehand to see if anything comes to mind on what would cause this.

ww4397,
my UpdateEPG.bat before I starting using the I-XMLTV app looked like this:
Code:
cd /d "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\YahooXMLTv"

YahooXMLTv.exe days=14 name=1 nosort
Then the XML file it generates is in the current directory with the name of the cable/sat company you chose when you setup the Yahoo2Go app. You can point GBPVR to point directly to that file if you want.

If you want to copy the file somewhere else, you will need to just put the command to copy the files after the YahooXMLTv.exe line.

The Y! database seems to contain anywhere from 10-14 days worth of data. The days= option is used to create a date range. The date range is then passed to the Y! API and it returns all programs in that range.

I wish it was something in my code. I would be able to fix that Wink
