New NMTInstall2 for N-PVR

NMTInstall2 is now installing v.3.2.9, thanks.
However it hangs before completing with a NPVR version mismatch warning
Attached is a screenshot showing the details of the warning

After waiting to be sure it was truly hung up...
I did "Cancel" the NMTInstall2 (as shown in attached)
then did start NPVR Service
started NPVR and settings shows v.3.2.9
Can Watch live TV
Can Play previously recorded programs
Can record and watch new recording

Seems NPVR is okay (running on PC)

Thinking back to previous upgrades... something similar happened (hung up, but NPVR seemed to be installed okay) but in that earlier instance I failed to see the "details" showing the message, so cannot confirm that it also was a "version mismatch" issue -- sorry.

From all of the above I hope you can surmise what was going on with the 3.1.3.2.9 versus 3.2.9.3.1 mismatch -- if you need any more, let me know.

Sorry you must have ticked the updates button, but there aren't any yet. I've fixed it anyway. It's a check to stop updates from going to the wrong version.

Thanks for the explanation -- I infer that your use of the term "updates" refers to minor (not major version release) enhancements -- I didn't understand that subtle (to me) difference from the context when checking boxes.

You may have explained that before, but since the NPVR/mvpmcx/NMT combination has become so stable/bulletproof (thanks to sub, you, and many others) it's now a long time between incidents of needing help/

The minor updates are now the equivalent of the johnsonx42 patches. I used to do them more often when NMT patches work frequent.

I am trying to install nPVR v.3.3.8 using NMTInstall2 (version downloaded as of 29March2014)

Would you be so kind as to let me know if you will be updating NMTInstall2 to instal 3.3.8 ?

TomH, it's a test to see if you are still around. I've updated the server's XML file, hopefully it continues to work.

You got me with that one, Martin. I hope it's humor not sarcasm.

If there were any proven alternatives, maybe I could leave you in peace - youknow that NMTInstall2 is the only tool that actually works, for me anyway.

Hi Martin, there is a new NPVR, but apparently NMTInstall2 does not want to install because of "NMTinstall.xml not found" error. I guess it is because the old gbpvr.com has been taken down. The download links for NMTInstall do not work either.

Will there be a new NMTInstall2 for the new NPVR? I became used to install new versions of NPVR with NMTInstall... Lazy, I guess...
