De one on the right is definately more beautifull.
A few things that may factor into this perception of yours: They're the same font, but button font is 11 point, while the list font is 12 point. Also, text renderer is designed to target fullscreen resolution, so shrunk smaller in window mode doesnt look quite as cool. The list text on the right is rendered onto a slight brighter background which may affect the look.

To me they both look like the same font, just one slightly larger than the other. On my 1920x1200 monitor, they both look super smooth.

Do the old command lines still work for the new version? I used the same command line (-direct "Live TV") I did for the old version to start in Live TV and it ignores it!

Everything works nice and nifty -- thanks Sub! The new interface is a beauty (and I was very happy to finally see it after starting GBPVR from the tray icon several times and not seeing any difference in the interface!).

Just thought I'd mention that it's all running great on a P4 1.8ghz with a GeForce 5200 FX 256mb video card.
Chris
GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

Sorry folks, I've not been quite finding enough time to follow up on all threads. Its not intentional - pretty busy and all that.

I'd like to install it to see what all the (good) commotion is about, but there are too many things missing for me to upgrade right now (overscan settings, confirm on delete, removing exit from menu, etc).

But are all the missing features that you say you'll include in the next release still available if I use the gbpvr.exe to start 1.0.8 instead of pvrx2.exe ?

Thanks.

gbpvr.exe in 1.0.8 is a patch upgrade only. Everything that worked in 99.12 still seems to work (at least what I use) with some bugs fixed.

There probably isn't any hard upgrading even if you don't use pvrx2.exe (but you can take a peek to see what all the excitement is aboutBig Grin)
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual)

DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3).
Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler.
Sits in rack with other HiFi.

ParaLED to show tuner activity.

Any plans to make it so? Most PVRs should boot into live TV.

Most of the command line paramaters will return in the next release. This release only contains the features I considered essential. Not many people start directly into live tv, so this wasnt consider essential to me.
