Noob here.... Installed unlocked SAF6. Checking out the tools. Wanted to see what was different with how WMC and NextPVR handle things. Tried GraphStudioNext. Works for NextPVR - can connect and see remote graph. With WMC (on WIN 7) however, it won't open remote graph. Instead I get the error below:

E_NOINTERFACE (0X8000402)

No such interface supported

Failed to connect to remote graph. Not the error E_NOINTERFACE or REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG can be caused by failing to register proppage.dll from windows SDK.

So what am I missing.

Also about the other two tools - DXVAChecker and Filemerit. What to use them for and how would be the questions...

On Win 7, WMC is using Media foundation on most formats. And second problem is, that WMC have blocked graph, so you cannot connect the graphstudio to see it.

DXVAChecker is a tool to see what DXVA formats are supported on your system.
And Filmerit is good to check for any problems in your system regarding DS filters and fix them.
Please google for official sites to see how to work with them.

I'm still having the same issues as before my SAF6 (unlocked install). I describe the problems here. Any troubleshooting help you can provide?

Have you tried getting the newer PDVD13 codecs to work - from the update to 3313 download.
I had a go last weekend - H264 works fine and appears even better than the version you have in the unlocked, but I couldn't get MPEG2 to work no matter what I tried - just ended with a black screen every time. In the end had to use the backup of SAF I had.

Have you thought about any update recently - see above post, also is there still a need for ffdshow - I now use PDVD for TV and LAV video with copy back DXVA for all other stuff Blu-Ray etc. all Subs are handled by xy-vobsub automatically in NPVR

I just checked latest PDVD and there is no change in PDVD decoders, still the 1.0.1130.5105 version. This one is already in unlocked SAF.
EDIT:
Ops, my mistake, it is 1.0.6620.5705, and i can confirm, that MPEG no longer works in PDVD13 decoder :/

Does this mean - with the problems in the previous posts - that that is it for PDVD updates :eek:

Also I have found I no longer need FFDShow - PDVD for MPEG2 and H264 TV - LAVF with xy-vobsub (using dxva copyback) for everything else including wmv.

I want to use FFDSHOW because of the keyboard shortcut options. Can someone please post as screen shot of their video and audio settings for ffdshow (in ffdshow) and the NPVR decoder screen. It seems finicky for me...one day it was working and the next it stopped working for .ts files.
