I like the concept of the window on the main screen. Since were talking about pie in the sky probability how about Picture in Picture on the MVP, for those folks that have dual encoders installed?

You can now do this with the Contour Skin... start watching live tv and hit the menu button... the message window now shows the live tv and you can select your menu options on the left... same thing when you go to the guide... if you jump from live tv to the tv guide a small live window shows the current program at the bottom of the screen... and you have audio the whole time... Excellent feature!!!

Yes, but you couldnt four months ago when this discussion took place.

Its been possible since the v0.96 release (regardless of skin).

Wait, what?
I totally missed all this... Cool
Back to perusing 4 months worth of posts... :p

If not using a remote, what is the key combination to get to the menu from live TV? (using contour to get the TV in a window)

Hello - Sorry I'm new to this site and the whole "build your own PVR" community. I've been so frustrated looking for a way to replace my buggy ReplayTV box and I've spent months researching all the PVR software out there. I have to say that GB-PVR is quite impressive in so many levels...although it's not open source, it is still very customizable with all the plug ins and the interface is just as fast if not faster than my crappy replayTV. Just one question...is there a way to always activate timeshift mode like during startup instead of waiting a few seconds to enable pausing and shifting? Other than that...thanks to whoever developed this software. I will donate as soon as I can pay off my taxes.
