AFAIK, DAB is a completely different technique. You must be thinking of DVB-T radio? DAB radio is actually capable of transmitting visual content, too, which in my world makes it a little less like radio, and a little more like tv. The difference is starting to smear out a bit Smile

yeah guess i now realise this after a bit of dogpiling,, but that begs next question is the bbc broadcasting in dvb-t radio?
i have a very old (one of the first) dvb set top box for use in uk called on-digital,, it still works with free view and i can get all of the bbc etc digital radio channels,,, how?,
, does this box have dab in? or are all the transmissions via dvb-t radio, either way why arent there any software decoders?
i found at least one dab pci card (didnt seem v expensive at 20ukp either),, personally as a big gamer i find internet broadcasting a total waste of good bandwidth, if it can be done over an antennae, y do cable??,,, arent we heading towards wireless everything?

If you receive it through your STB then it's DVB-T. If you have a DAB radio then it's being received via DAB (to state the obvious Smile ).

I've never been interested in radio myself, so it still only ranks a solid 'maybe one day if find the time'.

It used to sort of work if you used live tv, but I guess something changed a long the way that meant doesnt any more going by the comments above. I never test anything radio related, so I'm not sure when that might of happened.

It is possible to record radio programs off of UK Cable as if it was a TV program, the only problem is you end up with a large video file with a black screen, from which you have to extract the audio. It would be nice to have a record audio only option as an interim measure until that glorious 'maybe one day' arrives :-)

Thanks as ever for this top peice of software.
