if the file
"C:\temp\demux.ajb"
exists, then i have no idea why its failing. try googling for the answer.
if you cant figure it out, try find another demuxing program to demux the mpeg2 file, there is another app used by another plugin/.bat file on this forum somewhere, i cant remember whats its called though.

google using these keywords "demux" "command line" "mpeg2" "free", hopefully you should be able to find one, http://www.videohelp.com might mention one.

cPVAs has always worked for me, i have no idea why its not working for you.

I can't see what's wrong - if I run the job manually using the GUI - it just seems to crash (well, app disappears seconds after I run the demux job).

I've tried using version 2.1.015 as well (the GUI) and that doesn't work either......I wonder if there's something in the registry it doesn't like.

If you or anyone has got any ideas as to what is up with PVA, or has a suggestion for a free alternative - pls post!

I'm having a lot of trouble burning a dvd from myDVD. I'm following the Dummies guide and the MyDVD wiki.

I can get the mpeg to demux and remux with PVAS but I can't create the ISO. It says file not found when it's looking for temp*.*.mpg. C:\temp\temp.0.mpg is created by PVAS.

I'm using DVDAuthorGui/mplex to create the ISO as per the dummies instructions.

Any help/encouragement is appreciated.

the iso is created from the "DVD" folder in the temp directory not the temp.0.mpg etc files, you may just be getting no files warning if you have
"delete temp*.*.mpg" in the dvdburn.bat file.

I need some more help.

I can get as far as creating the DVD files inside of C:temp/DVD

I can manually burn the video file with nero to DVD and play it on my TV through my DVD player.

I guess I'm not creating the ISO file? Running DVDburn.bat manually gives me an error saying that it cannot find the ISO file. What to try next?

if you have nero 6 or above you can use the nerocmd .bat file on the wiki, that will burn the dvd folder to dvd without the need to create the iso file.

if you dont have nero then.
a) you need mkisofs to create the iso file.
b) dvddecrypter to burn the dvd.

you've got past the hard part, actually creating the dvd folder, burning should be easy.

trying running mkisofs manually (the command is in the default dvdburn.bat file). you may need to download that, it can be found in the dvdauthorgui .zip file (on sourceforge i believe), google it, it should be very easy to find.

and then once you have the iso file, the final step is easy, not a lot can go wrong with the dvddecrypter command.

if you still cant get it to work, post your dvdburn.bat file and info about whats going wrong.
