I have not tried it yet, but if it is working in mjp's case it will as well in mine (I am an optimist).

Does it go in the next release? Or is this a fix for "Weirdo Installation"?

Worked fine for 8 hrs, exited to set up recordings, all worked fine as well.

So far, no problems.
