JimF Wrote:Just a tip: 0.97.7 installed OK, but would not play through MVP at first, even though the menus looked OK. But I noticed Video Archive was not working. So I disabled all the plugins and rebooted everything, and now GB-PVR seems to be working fine through MVP. Maybe just reinstalling Video Archive would fix it, but I have not tried that yet.
Good point, I had meant to mention the need for caution with plugins until they're confirmed working with .net 2.0. I'll update the original post.

Were you able to get the changes in that support the new Hauppauge dongle?

Thats excellent. Thanks.

BTW I am glad I couldn't put the effort into recoding the Picture Library plugin since 2 days later you rolled out photo library.Big Grin

Hate to be a party pooper but after the install I can't get config.exe to run. After deleting several plugin dlls, it now starts but only runs for 15 sec before MS says it has encountered a problem etc. GBPVR runs but can't connect with the 150's (dev actively refused etc). They are OK in Device Mgr.

I did install net.2 successfully and have rebooted. Skin is default blue.

Log files attached - sorry to be a nuisance.

Can you have a look in the Windows Event Log to see if there is an error listed for that specific time?

What exactly does the windows error message say when you start the config app? Some time they have a link/button to see the details. This info would be useful.

Thanks, sub. The MS error report names config.exe and also picturesplugin. It also says there was a 'systemstackoverflowexception'.

No errors in the XP system log (except Win Defender sees gbpvrtray.exe as a possible spyware threat!).

But there are Application errors - Netruntime 2.0 errors with the info above. Event ID 5000.

OK. Just renamed the 'Picturesplugin.dll' and the problem seems to have gone away! Should have gone to the system logs myself, first.

Same thing here - had to delete picturesplugin.dll to get it to run at all.
