I only have the remote working on mine - no keyboard or mouse.
This happens as soon as I use any method to exit a recording or Live TV - stop, menu, back/exit etc.

Hi again!

I have some additional comments on this problem.

I first noticed it when I watched one recording and was recording another one. Since I didn´t want to abort the recording I only killed the GUI. After that I couldn´t get an OSD what so ever until I restarted the GBPVRrecordingservice. In between I also tried winTV app and it didn´t start. Error was "Failed to create TV window. hTV=0xd6a950 Err=1" but the "hTV=0xd6a950"-part wasn´t the same (some other hex number and Err=8 at the end). At the Hauppauge supportFAQ this problem indicates some sort of problem with the Software decoder.

Hope this helps.

I've given it a good try tonight, and have been unable to reproduce the problem you guys have described. I'm just in the middle of updating my PVR350 drivers to see if that will bring the problem on.

Ok, that didn't help. I still dont know what happening, and why I'm not seeing it.

I'm going to sleep on it. Maybe something will come to me in a dream... [Image: rock.gif]

I have been experiencing the same problems.  So I thought I would start from scratch with a clean build of WinXP Pro SP1 updated with all MS updates incl .NET1.1.  I then added the WinTVPVR 350 card and installed the latest drivers(from the hwc1.8.22170 build CD - actually reports the driver as 1.18.21.22168).  WinTV (version 4.5.22173) works OK on LCD and on TV via the 350 card TV-Out.

I then installed the new GBPVR0193 and set up some UK channels via Bleb(UK) plugin - that's a really great feature.  Starting GBPVR brings up the Menu page on the LCD and also full screen on the TV.  The TV guide is fine.  I can navigate either by the arrow keys on the keyboard or the Hauppauge remote.  I can watch Live TV and scroll through the channels with the remote or keyboard.  The problems still occur when trying to return to the main menu.  Pressing <Home> or <esc> on the keyboard or Back/Exit or Menu on the remote results in the Menu Page being displayed on both on the LCD and TV but the TV image blicks.  The CPU load goes up to 50-77% and the only way to recover is to shut down the GBPVR.exe process. The Windows application event viewer is reporting an application hand for GBPVR.exe version 1.0.1668.35800.  I can mail any event logs if that would help.

I have all the updates install as well. I also tried putting on sp1 for net 1.1...

No luck for me yet.

This works for me -  set "Hardware Decoding Device:" to "None-use software decoder " in GB-PVR Configuration and then feeding the video output to the TV through the Radeon 7500 TV-Out port .  However video quality is down, processor untilisation is high (due to software decoding?) and the 350 TVout port is not used.

Could this point to something that has changed in the 193 release in the way the TVout port is used, or the way the decoder is switched off when trying to return to the Main Menu?  I'm clutching at straws here, Sub. [Image: rock.gif]

Yes, thats the odd thing I havn't changed anything in the PVR350 support in this release.

Its also strange that I'm not seeing it. I'll keep looking.

Sub,
Just uninstalled 18l and installed the new 19 and I have the identical problem to that described here. Whenever I try to return to the main menu from either TV or from Video replay the whole main menu screen just starts flashing on and off. Only way out is to kill the program. I am viewing everything via the PVR350 output and nothing has changed from my 18l setup at all, no drivers or anything. Just a straight off with the old then on with the new..

BTW, thanks for the inclusion of the FM radio, just what I wanted  [Image: laugh.gif]

Hope someone comes up with something on this because at the moment my GBPVR is just a "One shot deal"...

Cheers,

Shappers.
