Seeing that you dug up a thread from back in October 2006 you are most certainly mixing release code.

Go to the top of this forum or click here to get the most recent version of EWA and follow install directions on wiki.

You will need to install these two pataches.

Patch #1.
Patch #2.

Note: I am assuming you are using the 99.12 (most current) release of GBPVR....correct?

I do have the most recent version of GBPVR and did follow the install directions on the wiki. When I put in the files from the patches you listed and then search... I still get the runtime error.

I deleted the Web files necessary and reinstalled the EWA. I also opened up the two patches and just the two Web folders into GBPVR directory.

I still get a runtime error when I try to search.

Post a screen shot from the search when doen on the gbpvr PC.....this will show the full error and help resolve.

Thanks.

Well, I tried searching at home and didn't get the error message. I did it a couple of times from the EWA episode search tab and it was fine. When I got to work and tried it I had a problem. Maybe if we single it down to my office, that would be fine.

Here is the message I'm getting: http://www.mediafire.com/?finmdnlzfzq

Well I just got the search error from my home computer:

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

I need to see the error on the server itself....this error page shows for all errors that occur when you are not on the hosting server.

Get the error to happen on the server and send a screen shot.

To my understanding, the server is the computer from where signal is coming from? That is my home computer... and this is the signal I get when I try searching from home.

The other time I get it is when I am on a "client" out of my home. I can send that error page shortly.

Do you mean the message when I am at home accessing the EWA from my local address?

http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/119748/...e-bmp.html

That is the message when accessing my EWA using my remote IP address from work or from another computer.

You need to be physically on the pc that is running GBPVR.....not a client. if you can run http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/ then you are on the server....the shot you provided is the message you get when you access EWA from a client PC not the host PC itself.
