still unclear what the advantage of the BDA driver would be?
There is a lot of extra functionality I've written that only works with BDA devices. Things like DVB EPG, DVB Subtitles, Dynamic PID mapping, Teletext etc, multidec plugin support.

But if the SS2recorder plugin is working fine for you, and providing everything you need, then you can continue to use it if you prefer.

The main advantages would come from better integration with the GBPVR core application; so automatic transponder scanning, MDPlugin interface, plus all the DVB extra goodies more than basic video and audio (EPG, subtitles etc). SS2Recorder doesn't work in Live Preview mode either.

Would have answered this earlier, but still catching up after Christmas! Sorry!

i downloaded the 4.4.1 Beta version software, the DVB Viewer application works but i dont thinks thats installed the BDA driver.

GBPVR does not detect it, and graphedit doesn't see the filters either, what else do i have to do?

sorry its a dumb question

I have two machines skystar 2 installed(Different versions of the same card though, one 2.6c the other 2.6d). I've installed the 4.4.1 BDA beta driver both of them. one(2.6d) gives an "object reference not set to a instance etc.." problem while switching to the timeshift mode the other can't get signal at all. I've followed the same procedure while installing the driver and gbpvr.what could be the problem?

Reproduce both of these, and post the logs and I'll take a look.

I'm gonna try this again this weekend, maybe people who have done it can help?
i presently use the ssrecoder plugin. how do i go from that to the BDA driver?
since it didn't work last time what steps do i have to do?
ie. drivers/filters to register/unregister etc.

thx

It should work assuming you're using either the Cyberlink or ATI mux.

I use Cyberlink mux but i download it from Twinhand official site.
Is it Ok ?
If is not the good one, can you send me the real one ?

I have a switch "routeur" connected with my MVP throught a Powerline communication (14 Mbps)
Is it possible the speed is too slow for the video and it's why i have sound but no pictures on my TV ?
