Vomp is indeed based on mvpmc. The develloper took most of the code from there, misted it out and mixed it up with ideas from former mvp-software. I'm wondering that mvallevand is still working on that "emulation" thing. I hope he/they will add native support in their software for gbpvr as they did for mythtv sometimes. But I see you rely on hauppauge.
If I had enough skill i would build a client for gbpvr out of vomp. Unforunately I never did such hardware-near coding in the past.
