More flexible skinning capabilities

found another little bug (well kinda a bug) i increased the font size a bit, and when the "Recording Conflict" message box pops up the text "To record this show will require the cancellation ..." doesnt wrap, so at the moment it just overflows off the side.

Now that one really IS my fault, I created them at 02:00 AM when I was first creating the skin and have never got around to actually putting some decent ones in....

I know I've said it a ridiculous amount of times, but there really are two other skins in the works (and a third that I'm thinking about). The other two are ports from some of the PVR world's favourite skins. As ever the scan font is being worked on (I just like having a newer version than anyone else TBH). The buttons are next along with the buttons for weather and a couple of other things which muck up.

SUB something you could fix for me PLEEAASSSEE is what happens when you use my skin and go to the recordings page. If you choose a recording the play, exit, delete buttons appear on top of the text (this has been very well documented by now), but as I can't define anything in the popup (well not much) I can't do anything about it. If you let me define one of these three I could solve it:
1. The size of the popup
2. The location of items in the popup
3. The buttons used in the popup (allowing different ones than used on the main page)

I would also REALLY like to see support for flash as support for animated gifs/apng's is virtually impossible...

Comics plugin - the description wraps to 2 lines and almost touches the white line.

Also, net radio - you might want to move the display of the stations down as they overlap the line.

support for flash sounds wonderful, but the pvr350/xcard wouldnt be able to handle it. and plus a lot of extra programming for sub, which chances are would cause problems and make gbpvr less stable/slow it down.

anyone know how xbmc does their little animations? is that flash? only flash i ever seen is on webpages.

with the invent of infopanels you can do animations with those if needed.

Ok - a sample of my first skin. I have only done the netradio. Because I can't change the colours of the station items I have made a very green theme - but this won't be any good in other screens where the items use blue.

Ideally I would like to use graphics instead of the rounded rectangles for the station items (and other items in other plugins). Is it possible to put this into the skin.xml?

The big yellow ball was to contain a mini version of the task.png image, but I don't think I will use it. Will try and do something a little more subtle.

Umm - the "server" hosting the image gets turned off regularly so if it doesn't show try again later.

Oh - and comments very much welcomed (good or bad).

It conceivable could be flash, but it uses the DirectX engine built into the XBOX runtimes. Why recreate the browser engine just to play flash or other web graphics, stick with the main engine it already has. The skin engine and XML code for skin settings give insight to this. Other dashboards for a modded XBOX show how much the underground has learned about the graphics engine within the XBOX.
