It looks like working with the Character sets is much more difficult then I thought. And this comes on the heels of my other post today...

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=26494

Anyway, I know that when I generate temporary text files, the data is fine, It's using UTF-8. and when I read the data into a string, at that point the text is funny. Using a different set I'm sure, don't know how to switch that...

I can play with the funny looking text and then save it to text file again, and the correct accents are there again.

I guess sub is working the same problem right now. we'll see what happens

With v1.0.49:

The O.C. is not working. I know its in the database but the log for Zrename states:
Quote:Query database...
No data available. Exiting...

I log in to EWA to confirm its in the database and the files are.

24 is still not working for me.

EWA reports the episode as: Day 6: 1:00AM - 2:00AM
Zrename reports Episode Name: 2:00 AM
Logs:
Quote:5/4/2007 12:39:55 PM : ***************************
5/4/2007 12:39:55 PM : File selected: C:\htpc\recordings\24\24_20070430_20002100.avi

5/4/2007 12:39:57 PM : No Episode number, using Air Date
5/4/2007 12:39:57 PM : No Air Date from DB, trying from NET
5/4/2007 12:39:57 PM : Preview: C:\htpc\recordings\24\24-(2007-05-02)-2.00.AM.avi

I've confirmed the accents do work.

Bug: Tried to do the incrementing a filename when it already exists. I get the following error:
Run-time error '85': File already exists.

I can see that the output file has (2) at the end. But according to this log its not using it:
Quote:5/4/2007 12:45:59 PM : ***************************
5/4/2007 12:45:59 PM : File selected: C:\htpc\recordings\Greys Anatomy\Greys Anatomy_20070118_20002101.avi

5/4/2007 12:46:00 PM : Commit changes...

Also, I would prefer not to have Zrename have to be part of Zprocess because I use a super customized batch transcoding solution because I never got Zprocess tweaked exactly how I wanted so I'd just want to add this to the end.

Hope this helps yet again Smile

Edit: I've uploaded my database in case it will help you debug: http://www.aegisego.us/gbpvr_db3.zip (2.4mb)

You've been very helpful, especially giving your database. Now what wonderfully evil things could I do with it...?

I have found and fixed the bugs you wrote about, but I will double check them against your database...

Be back soon. Also, with me cranking out new versions minute by minute, I'd have one last look at the latest version before sitting down to test. I think I had out version 50 or 51 when you were testing with 49...

As far as you not using ZProcess, well first off, I will not force anyone to use one program in order to use another. Currently, ZRename will just give the option of where to store the backup log, and tell ZProcess directly the new filename, so ZProcess can process with new file name.

None if this will affect you unless you want it to...

As far as a heavily customized batch transcoding... If you couldn't get it working the way you wanted, maybe the same help your giving me here will make ZProcess better for us all too. (But that's later)

Try 61. Note that you will have be sure that the use I-XMLTV check is unchecked.

I have played with your database and found quickly that the pathing references between the db, and Windows explorer are case sensitive. So I had to recreate your structure that way...

I played with the episode of 24 that had midnight in the sub_title. Still don't know why you have 'Midnight' and I (and I'xmltv) has 12:00 AM. But I fudged it I fudged that.

Where are you living? Maybe the ep data is different.... hmmm

Anyway, I hope 24 is fine with IMXLTV unchecked. I hope the other shows are good too, but we can look at that later

Hmm. I'm finding quite a big difference between regular Zap2it EPG and I-XMLTV. There's a lot more information with the I-XMLTV. I may have you converted before the end of the day...

But for now, I will work with the Default Zap2it EPG and make it work as best... So hang tight on testing until I can get it working right

Oz, you're gonna want to try 1.0.64 (or up)

24 might still act up on you unless I convert you to using I-XMLTV. hehe

Let me know. I think I may have to install EPGExtra and see what extra info there is there...

I'd love to test it but I'm away from my PC and will be for a week.

I'll definitely test it after my hike though (Grand Canyon). Thanks for all this.
