I'm not sure what I did but now I get a picture with livetv. I believe it's my 3rd tuner but thats where I am getting confused.

Referencing the pics I posted above. The first 2 tuners were there when I simply had the pvr150 & pvr150mce cards installed. Now that I installed the 1600 I am seeing the 3rd and 4th tuners. I assumed that for my analog side of my 1600 that I would select the 4th listed.

Then for the atsc side of the 1600 I selected the 2nd tuner in this pic attachment. But I am not sure I am going about this the right way Sad

Yes, pick the 1600 option when you set up the BDA capture source.

ok thought I would try and figure it myself but can't Sad

I've added the 1600 atsc and tried to map the digital channels to no avail.

It starts scanning but only 68 channels (the number of analog channels I have) and finds nothing.

Does the Hauppauge WinTV software find your channels?

These aren't digital cable QAM channels? Even though recent HVR1600 drivers added QAM support, this wont work in GB-PVR until the next release. For now you need to stick to 'over the air' channels.

Haven't tried that because I'd have to remove the other tuners (at least from the device manager) for wintv to work with the newly added 1600.

I started to cry hehehe but you said next release so I can wait for that Big Grin
For now I'll just remove the atsc tuner definition.

So I am trying to recover from changing my channel lineup to the digital lineup. Until I can use the digital side of the 1600 I want to go back to the analog setup. Which means I changed my zap2it lineup back to just the cable lineup. But now when I look at a tuner in the gbpvr config, I still see all the hundreds of channels and the idea of deleting them one by one well

So whats the quickest way to remove channels from the tuner setups ?

Also I've noticed that my db (gbpvr.db3) is not 45 Mb (where it was about 10 before). I've even had a message come up saying that the db was locked and after a few minutes it went away and I was able to go on my merry way. How can I reduce that back down to about 10 mb ? or will that happen automagically when I remove the channels from the tuner setups ?

These extra channels should be removed when you remove the capture sources that have referenced them.

I'd assumed you would have used a different zap2it account for your new digital lineup, so your original capture sourcese didnt have all these extra channels. If thats not the case and you'd modified your original zap2it channel lineup, and now all of your capture sourcese have these extra channels, then dropping your capture sources and recreating them is probably the easiest way to get it back to the original list of channels.

Yes, hopefully.

A lot of SQLite tools have a 'Vacuum' feature to shrink databases. SQLiteSpy is one example.
