Hi

Did anyone manage to sort this? I've spent all day configuring the system to run Gamezone with all my favourite classics (best plugin ever?!), but am now gutted to find that it only works in VMR9 Custom rather than FSE. With VMR9 Custom my TV playback goes all choppy Sad

Please help me!

Edit: Meant to say, in FSE mode I get a DirectShow error (no surprise as PVRX2 is trying to steal focus back I guess)

I think it may be worth spending some time looking for the source of the issue of why ypu need to set FSE.

Sub has stated in another thread "VMR9 Custom and VMR9 FSE are the exact same code, but one askes for exclusive fullscreen access to the video card."

It would seem fixing the choppyiness on VMR9 Custom may be the best way to go.

There are loads of people that hang around the support forum that are extremly knowledgeable in this area. I am certainly not one of them.

Cheers

Hi, thanks for that.

I have had a good read of various forums over the past few months, and it appears that a large number of Nvidia cards are prone to problems with VMR9 Custom, and from what I can see, many people are giving up and setting the FSE switch.

I have however had a good go at troubleshooting (I have a week off work, my life is seriously exciting Big Grin) and managed to get a near perfect picture, ableit with tearing, but it's still not good enough.

I think the only solution for me is to either buy a PCIe card or upgrade to Vista and use EVR Sad

I have asked if its possible for GameZone to control the exclusivity (is this a new word) of PVRx2, I will await a response before I try and see if I can assist.

Cheers

Well it seems that after all the great help I got getting GameZone to pull up, I've hit this problem as well. Please keep us informed if you get anywhere with it.

I will have to wait for sub to see if can help for this to go any further, if I try to do it without it being implemented in GBPVR it is likely to get quite ugly, as in I would need to close GBPVR down and then reload after the emulator finished. If the general consensus is that people would live with this I may give it a shot

Cheers

Well good for me at least, I've been able to use EVR in XP, so I don't have this issue anymore. My system is fairly modest and can run this, so I'd recommend trying it over -fse if you haven't already.

In fact, my processor is less than yours shrek (semperon 3100), my video card an Nvidia 6200, and I have the same amount of ram.
