Yeah, you've been a very good boy this year, Sub, so I hope Santa brings you some nice presents.

sub

Your program is excellent and your vacation is well deserved. I am sorry you need the time off, but I certainly understand. Perhaps you will have some fun with that TV Walker--watching it I mean.

We have some radio guys here in New Orleans who take an occasional break to recharge their batteries. They always come back sharper and funnier. Hope it works the same for you.

Have a great Christmas and New Year.

Merry Xmas Sub, Take all the time you need to contemplate your navel, spend time with family and loved ones, and relax on the beach..........just like a good Kiwi summer should be.

Hope you have an enjoyable Christmas Sub!  You have done an incredible job! Hopefully there is a way to have others share the burden of answering questions and problems so that this continues to be fun for you!

Merry Christmas again!

Sub,
I wish you a blessed Christmas and a good holiday away from GBPVR. I think you deserve it. I look back at how I came here (a message at the myhtpc forums where you announce a commandline playback utility for the pvr350) and I then downloaded gbpvr version 0.05, yesterday exactly one year ago! Then I thought I would use gbpvr for only that: playback through the tvout. But when I discovered what it was you were working on, I thought it would be nice to use it for all tv-related stuff in my then brand-new htpc.

The quick evolution of this program has really shown me your committment to this hobby: 18 releases in one year, some even with a bugfix release shortly after initial release! Although there have been some less successful releases (killing bugs) I must say that most of them worked very well. The addition of new functionality (in the core or as a plugin) has shown me your creativity.

To make a long story short: Sub, Thanks a lot. I do hope you come back in the new year to work on gbpvr with new energy. I also hope that those people that do not understand that this is supposed to be a hobby for you learn or leave.

Greetz,
enjoy the holiday with your family and enjoy your beautiful country!!!!

MaBo

PS: There is one thing I hope: that you don't take the route the myHTPC/Meedio people chose: go commercial. But perhaps it would be nice to have some people help you out on the board, or even with coding.

Just to echo what everyone else is saying, and add my own thoughts...

Sub, until I discovered your software all I had was a fancy TV card in my PC.

The software you are making is better than anything else out there. If you decided to make money out of it, you would (I'm sure) make your fortune. I don't think any of us who support you would begrudge that.

You've worked very hard over the last year - you only have to glance at these posts to realise how much that is appreciated.

So...

Chill out, hopefully have a restful Christmas and New Year, and anything else that comes to mind.

I too volunteer for any 'chores' that occupy your time that you feel you can offload. I have 20+ years experience in software development (including COBOL, Java, C# and others), management, technical authoring and software support (don't ask how old I am, please) - and time on my hands in the evenings (mostly). Just ask.

Have a great xmas and check your email for my xmas present to you [Image: wink.gif]

As a suggestion for when you get back. Why not create a general chat section for members for help members and then make the support forum for reporting bugs.
