Hibernation takes power? i thought in hibernation mode data is saved from ram to disk thus taking no power at all.

in standby data is saved to ram so i'm assuming some power is left running.

no power is being used, just not that much, just enought to allow things like wakeup on lan, and wake to preform some tasks.
