i bought the 1600 with the remote package. I'll make it work somehow.

The saving grace is that detroit and windsor are in one direction for me. so i get all the major channels pointed at 310 degrees Smile
Until Canada goes digital in 2011, then i'll be wanting to flip around.

is there a reference table to what haupblast can emulate? if you tell it to blast the number 2, what format is it using? compatible with what known devices?

HaupBlast is just a front-end to the IR Blaster device; it doesn't do any emulation on its own. What you need to do is set up the IR Blaster through its setup program. That is where you will pick which device you are using. To be honest, I highly doubt it's going to support your Channel Master, but you can check.

Your best bet will probably be getting a USB-UIRT. It will be able to "learn" the IR commands from the Channel Master's original remote, and then you can use GBPVR with the USB-UIRT and it will work just fine.

sgilani is correct, HaupBlast.exe is only a front end. It doesnt have any options itself. It just asks the Hauppauge software to change channels using the currently configured options.

You can look in the Hauppauge blastcfg utility for options available (such as STB type, zero padding etc).
