That actually happened to my PCH and they returned it fairly quickly in the US. Not sure how quickly it would be elswhere...

The snag is the back and forth of email (now webified) is so slow when you are outside their timezone - one or two days a time. I know it's dead, but I don't know how many more email exchanges it takes to get it RMA'd I understand the process is fairly quick once they get it back.

At least it gave me the opportunity to get t'other Martins dongle running on te MVP with the already existing share. I wish I'd done it a lot earlier! I think it was reading of others queries that put me off.

Whether it is for the MVP or the PCH setting up the mvpmc share certainly might be scary when you read about it and even try it. I wish Microsoft made networking easier, the user experience hasn't really improved for users since DOS days.

I've got an RMA now, so hopefully back in action in a couple of weeks.

Update.
Well it took over a week to get there (11th to 21st) but they have shipped it back the same day so in a week or so I should have it back (USPS permitting).

Arrived this morning - fitted and working fine.

After the MVP for a few weeks, I definitely prefer the MVP remote. The writing is already coming off the PCH remote buttons.

I see from the customs declaration they value the main board at $20 - Hmmm, I'd have a few at that price Wink

I was concerned for a few minutes (well hours) until I realised that the MAC address of the PCH would be different and thus the config tweaks didn't happen !!

I'm blaming old age again ;(

Well, let's just hope that you'll be able to do that for a very long time.Wink
