OK, lets make this simple:
For me, whichever mode that can do this, in this order of priority:
  1. Comskip (at least on mpg's, other types nice).
  2. Resume
  3. Seek based on time rather than percentage (or fine tune the percentage to multiples of 1% rather than 10%!)
  4. See The Timeline
  5. Skip Fwd/Backward
  6. Subtitles (a distant last)

End user?

Don't want to be troublesome but PCH is like Bush to Brown.

Martin go with your instinct, currently there are so few users and believers.

I'm just waiting to see which way the dongle lies......

steeb, I have no idea what Bush to Brown means, but if you are comparing me to an almost ex-POTUS or an ex-FEMA head I might be insulted. This is like DEADBEEF to me.

My instincts are okay but I am not a GBPVR user and I really am searching here, since I find comskip such a low priority, but if that's what most people want that's what you will get.

my $0.04c (our dollar sucks)
1, Resume
2, See time line

I'd probably say doing it the syabas way would be the best in the long run rather than working around them. But depends if they're willing to come to the part...

1. comskip on mpegs!!
2. skip forward and back.
3. I couldn't care less about resume, especially if skip ahead x minutes could be implemented like it is in native GB-PVR.

just my $0.02...

Although I don't have a PCH, I would like to contribute.
My ct (Euro is strong :p) : I'm with JKSmurf:

  1. Comskip (at least on mpg's, other types nice).
  2. Resume
  3. Seek based on time rather than percentage (or fine tune the percentage to multiples of 1% rather than 10%!)
  4. See The Timeline
  5. Skip Fwd/Backward
  6. Subtitles (a distant last)
And ofcourse WOL, or is that already in?

OK, I'll add my "tanner" (and nick it off others).

1 WOL
2 Resume
3 fwd/rev skips (the NMT seems to do this fairly well at present for me).
4 nn fwd/rev minutes (like MVP)
5 timeline visible

I've never had much success with comskip so would not miss it if absent.

Likewise.

It's really only resume that I'm desperate for and because I often resume on an MVP a file I have started on a PCH it needs to work in that situation.

This summed it up nicely for me and would be the order of importance for me
