New version works great with Canadian Fandango listings except...
I am getting strange characters where there should be vowels with accents. Listings: Fandango Cinema: aaono In Firefox on the Fandango site I get: Penélope Cruz But my films.xml looks like this: Pen[Capital A with wiggly accent][Copyright Symbol]lope Cruz I am attempting to attach a screenshot. Any idea where/why this is happening? Thanks!

Hi there
What with the release of 7.1 and my families recent interest in the Cinema (blame Wall-E), I thought that I'd take another look at this plugin. I have to say that it is absolutely fantastic and works superbly! I have set up as a windows scheduled task to run the updater every week so that the cinema info and trailers should always be up to date, The only issue that I think I spotted (and I'm scraping the barrel here) is that some trailers appear to have been deleted and then downloaded again. I was wondering whether this is because I have 2 cinemas configured and if a film finishes showing at cinema A, the trailer is deleted and then immediately downloaded again as it is now showing at cinema B? btw: The Torrent plugin is just brillant as well! The method of entering TXT on the remote is genius (Sub needs to add that into the standard Search feature) Then the naughty part of me thought perhaps you should add a Torrent button to the cinema listing plugin to search for the film title....:-) My sincere thanks for all your hard work, it's much appreciated.

If there is a break between the 2 cinemas showing the film then yes, the trailer will be deleted. If it happens again can you post the updater log? gEd Wrote:Then the naughty part of me thought perhaps you should add a Torrent button to the cinema listing plugin to search for the film title....:-)Cinema, it's the experience that counts

Perhaps the trailers could be left on the pc for x weeks until the movie has finally left town?

You can set <RemoveUnreferencedTrailers>false<RemoveUnreferencedTrailers> in the config.xml file if you want to manually delete unwanted trailers. Another user set the ICLP trailers path as a video files path so he could manage/watch trailers using the GB-PVR Video Library.

Just extract it to C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\ This fix works great. All accent and apostrophe errors have been corrected (in all the current movies I have anyways). Might I make a suggestion... Some of the film descriptions end with "Read more." I assume this is being scraped from the website - perhaps you could kill this line if it shows up? Purely an aesthetic issue though. Great work on this plugin - very high WAF (and noobie impressing factor). We have been using it since version 1. It was a sad summer for us after fandango and zap2it stopped working so well. Glad to see this update has us back online. Also - FYI - imdb does not have listings for Canadian theaters.

I made a .cmd file to run the cinema update nightly (Windows scheduled tasks) and then delete any "Read More" text from the film descriptions. Cinema.cmd: "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\InternationalCinemaListingsUpdater.exe" perl -p -i.bak -e "s/Read More//g" films.xml This can be done with Windows notepad (you also need Perl installed). Put "pause" as a third line if you want to see "Press any key to continue..." EDIT: for some reason the forum text is inserting a space in the first line. The InternationalCinemaListings directory is one word.
