Thanks everyone for your help, Smile

i cant wait for my lunch hour to go home and tryout your suggestions. :p

I will try changing the value for channel 5 to the correct frequency and test it that way. i will post with results when i get back to the office.

I also gave a call to my cable company and they will be sending me an email with a channel / frequency table in a few minutes. Cool

hopefully with this information ill be able to fix all the other channels as well.

Update! it worked great! Big Grin

I got it working using the frequency changes in the registry. i didnt try entering the frequency on the gbpvr config app but im sure it would have worked just as good. Big Grin

I really want to thank all of you that responded and helped me get it all working.

you guys rock!.

I have a question about the live preview thingy, i disabled it so i could get a buffer going, thus enabling the instant pause option i wanted. i can live with the slower channel change speeds so thats not an issue.
my question is that whenever i change channels, the new channel plays for like 1 second then "hiccups" or stutters for like a second and then keeps playing normally after that. is this normal? or should i see into doing a clean install after a "format c:" ?

Oh and i love the Channel icons feature,

You could try increasing the "live tv pre-play" setting in the config app. It might help with the 1 second hiccup. Try a big number first then reduce it.

I had to set "Antenna" in the configurator, even though I have cable TV. With "Cable" I could only see a handful of channels, the rest was static...

This on a PVR 150MCE

Hey Vanderstock, sounds like the problem i had.

Manually assigning the frequencies on the registry for each channel fixed it for me.

Take a look at these links, i found them after i had already solved the problem but they are very helpful and should save you a lot of time in solving your issues as well.

http://snapstream.helpserve.com/index.ph...cleid=1343 (this one say that its for the beyondtv software but it also applies to gbpvr)

Does your wintv software get all the channels correctly like mine did? if so this might be helpful.

I wrote this, I don't know why but I would like to make an apology.

I think I'd had a bad day and took it out on the GBPVR Forum!

Very Nasty of me on a new user so Daniel, sorry.

I think it is testament to this Forum that people ignore such unhelpful comments as mine and get on with solving the issue.

Thanks Daniel-mX, but after I set it to "Antenna" all the channels were visible, exactly according to the channel list of my cable-tv-provider so all works fine now.. Smile

Thank you steeb, and dont worry about it Smile, its all forgotten.

And yeah i agree that the people in this forum are very helpful. I only found out yesterday that "Sub" (the guy that helped me fix my problems) is actually the guy behind GBpvr , so im really impressed and grateful that he took the time to help me out like he did.

Thank you sub, for your help and for this amazing piece of software Smile

I've had the same problem for a long time (PVR-150, same as you). The "live tv pre-play" setting doesn't help (low or high number). Let me know if you find a solution to this problem.

Thanks, Tony
