I'm also having an issue getting live tv to work. When I select live tv the screen just blinks. I have an hvr-1800. I've checked the buffer file to make sure it's there. The capture device screen in config has a long list of channels that all appear to be mapped. I've included the PVRX2 Logs below. Also I'm not sure if this is related or not (I only think it might be because of the error in the logs) When I select TV Guide the program crashes

Thanks for the advice. I'll play with xmltv some more to see if I can get it to work. I do still have one question though if I need to set up an epg source when would I use the "none" option, which is what I originally had the epg source set to.

The 'none' option is really just for people that want to setup a capture source for dubbing off video tapes etc from the composite/svideo inputs on their card.

Hi all,

I to have been having problems with LiveTV mode. Normally I view it through a MVP, but today I decided to try to watch it on the GBPVR machine. It didn't function properly, so I moved my live tv directory to C:\Temp. It created a file when I chose "watch tv". The display is random noise and colors frozen, but the overlayed buttons and timer seem to be working. The video display is static. I stopped PVRX2 and tried to view the temporary file. If I try to play it, from PVRX2 I get the same display. If I play the recorded temp file from Windows Media Player, it plays fine. I also managed to record about 6 minutes without watching it. When I viewed the file in PVRX2 it worked fine... kinda wierd n wacky...
Here are my logs...

It'll most likely be related to your decoders. Try other decoders.

Do you see your channels still ticked as 'enabled' in your capture source channel list?

What capture card are you using? Also, what source? ie analog cable, OTA ATSC, or QAM digital cable.
