Compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look. They will contain your MAC address

I did notice in the <MAC-1080i_set> you don't have
<MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>

In the <MAC-1080p_set> you have it set but the width is wrong
<MVPWidth>1920</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>1080</MVPHeight>

You should use
<MVPWidth>1280</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>720</MVPHeight>

video will still the 1080p, this is for the menus only (and it is still higher res then the PCH and probably Swiss Center) I can use the higher res but it is really not recommended.

OK....I'm losing it. I looked through my configuration today and discovered that the MAC address from one of my PCH was wrong. I fixed that issue, but am still having trouble. On my 1080p set, GBPVR comes up and runs very well (much faster than before). The only issue is that it is a 4:3 screen in the upper left corner. On my 1080i set, I have to look through the files. When I connect to the GBPVR html, GBPVR never comes up. Instead, it behaves as if I did a power toggle (see the always backup you data message) and goes into SwissCenter (that part is expected on exit, which I plan to remove once I get this straightened out). After modifying the config.xml file, do I need to restart any services? I'm thinking that the changes aren't being seen.

Thanks

You must have missed my post where I asked for your logs. If you include config.xml that would be easier.

Sorry about that....Logs attached. There is something very strange going on. I wrote down the MAC addresses from the network setup screen on the PCH. I am using those MAC addresses to assign IP addresses through DHCP on my server. They are getting the addresses that I assigned.

I went into config.xml and modified the file so that my MAC addresses are there. I test on one of the PCHs. I then go back into config.xml and the MAC addresses have changed to the ones that were originally there. I give up

First, since you are running Vista, remember if your editor is not running as Administrator you could be modifying a bad config.xml.

A couple of things, the logs show a MAC address of 0006DC441044 that wasn't in this config.xml

I don't get logs for both machines because you are autostarting 2 MVP servers. You would need to set this to 1 and duplicate test for both PCH's.

That's what I was talking about. I am using my Vista laptop right now, but when I made the changes to the xml I was using an XP Pro machine with an admin account. I made the change and it went back. The MAC you spoke of is the one that I am trying to connect with. I will try to change it again from the server to see if that makes difference. And I'll change the autostart to 1 (I always forget that).

Thanks

If you use NMTInstall it is Vista aware, and it will create the config.xml settings (one at a time for you). Untick everything except "Configure GB-PVR PCH Settings" take all the defaults except enter you MAC address in All CAPS and select PCH2 mode.

The Details will tell you if it found the MAC where it would not make any changes.

If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. I logged onto the server that is running GBPVR. Then I opened up EditPad Lite to modify the config.xml file. I put in the correct MAC addresses and saved. I then went back into the file to make sure it saved it. It was correct (I swear!!!). I went into the PCH and went to GBPVR. It opened in the same small 4:3 screen in the upper left hand corner. I exited and went back to the server. I opened config.xml and it had the wrong MAC addresses again. What could be doing this? Logs attached.

I don't use Vista for GBPVR. My server that is running GBPVR is Server 2003 Enterprise. I never used NMTInstall. My current setup is using the MVPMC share with a user account that has access to the files (no guest account). Will running NMTInstall effect that?
