dhgb256, also if the "A"'s and "The"'s could be ignored in the titles... that would be cool.

whurlston Wrote:dhgb256, couple of questions: What language did you use? I have some c# code for using skip forward/back with the Silverlight plugin. Also, are you using the Netflix API or just scraping the website?

I used VB.net to code, but the c# code might help me out anyway. At least I could see how you did it. Also, i am scraping the website. Not sure how to access the API.

Thanks!

Yes, I meant to add that and completely forgot. I can add that pretty quickly, but it will require a full reload of the database. You'd have to start from scratch. I'll post an update shortly.

Snooze Wrote:WTH... I cant get it to show up. Oh by the way you need to add a folder MovieInfo containing netflixhttp.tmp to your zip file. Without it I get a dot net error and if you continue it will just hang... Hate to have anyone expecting a 60 minute wait and it would never finish... Smile

I apparently forgot to create the directory when the program starts. The file netflixhttp.tmp will be created automatically. I already have it on my computer, so of course I missed it. Thanks!

Note: I updated the first post, so it has the most up to date version.

OK, I have fixed the errors that you pointed out (dbnull when scrolling through movies, and I fixed the directory issue). I also now have the movie names listed as Exorcist, The and Christmas Carol, A.

Thank you and hopefully any other issues are this easy to fix. I did notice that nowhere in the database was I storing what the movies were rated, so this has now been added. This zip file includes the database load exe file also, so everything is in this one zip. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks!

Did you replace the database file with the new update? There is a new field (rating), so if you didn't replace it you would get a database error. If you did, let me know what you were doing when it happened and I'll get it fixed.

To save the load time you can download the prepopulated databse from:

Thanks,

Excellent, and thanks to Whurlston I now know how to log in the users, so pretty soon I will be able to have the user log in through the API. Let me know if you'd like to see any other features.

Also, i don't know if I mentioned it previously, but you just hit enter on any of the movies in the list and it opens in a viewer. Probably the most important feature and I'm not sure I told you Smile
