neXt PVR doesn't honour the AutoTune Registry?

Unfortunately those log files attached above did not seem to match. The npvr.log show an attempt to which tv at 4:39, but the nrecord.log you attached started at 4:51, so I couldnt see the tuning attempt. Try again to produce the logs and repost them.

I will do as advised and i try to explain it more in detail:

Within the Registry via Microsoft TV Services i have mapped the analog frequencies to channelnumbers. This works within GB-PVR like a charm (thus i had to set for the right order the channelnumbers). But if i try to watch tv within nPVR, then i have the wrong channels displayed. Somewhere is the missing point to order the channels.

Mapping within registry:
Freq: 182250000 (ARD) mapped to 1 should be mapped to channel 1 within nPVR (ARD) like the XML is, but nPVR doesn't tune right and displays the XML data for ARD but shows only empty screen with noise (wrong tuning)
Freq: 196250000 (ZDF) mapped to 2 should be mapped to channel 2 within nPVR (ZDF) like the XML is, but nPVR doesn't tune right and displays the XML data for ZDF but shows only empty screen with noise (wrong tuning)
Freq: 175250000 (NDR) mapped to 3 should be mapped to channel 3 within nPVR (NDR) like the XML is, but nPVR doesn't tune right and displays the XML data for NDR but shows only empty screen with noise (wrong tuning)

Do these tuning parameters seem correct for ARD? ie, if you run GBPVR's TuningAssistant, and selected 'Germany' and 'Cable' tuning, does ARD show up on channel 1?

Well sub, the Tuning Assistant from GB-PVR takes advantage from the Microsoft TV System registry values. Channel 1 is ARD as supposed (if i would delete the regkeys and reboot the machine, Tuning Assistant would display the same empty screen on channel 1 like nPVR it does atm).

The Tuning Assistant and NPVR do their tuning the exact same way, and should give the exact same results, which is why I asked.

No idea. They should give the exact same results. There is nothing different about how NPVR does it's tuning.

Were they the exact same options? ie, the only factors relevent are three parameters - country, tuning (antenna vs cable) and the channel number.

Yes, really. I checked so many times: country: germany, tuning (i tried cable AND antenna; each time with reinstall / reboot) and of course the channel number.

If i use the "original" channelnumbers (without honouring the Auto Tune edits) (e.g. ARD on channel 22) then nPVR displays ARD. But this is confusing and it really looks like, that nPVR doesn't respect this setting in the registry. I can remember, that we had problems in the past like this with an early GB-PVR Version. But i cannot remember, what you changed to get this working.
