Someone on Digitalspy said that the SD channels were still on the HD tp but labeled as some numbers so I would say at the very lease it'll remain DVB-S until Nov 3rd. Who knows from then on! The only casualty I have is Cbeebies but with a 4 and 2 year old I'd best sort that out before they (or the wife) notice!

Yeah, DVBDream was showing them up as numbers (both appeared to be BBC1s, but no idea what region, unless they were whatever was there before). The other two channels on it are BBC HD, and what appeared to also be BBC HD but again labelled as a number.

Well no change to S2 thankfully. Scan cache attached for those with cards that will not scan in GBPVR (Compro), or just to save some time.
One thing that has not changed on the new BBC One HD (AC3) channel is the beebs habit of transmitting 2-channel audio in a 5.1 container - so ffdshow does not 'use Dolby prologic decoder for all stereo sources'.

So now five free HD channels on Astra / Eurobird....
BBC HD
BBC ONE HD
ITV HD
Luxe TV HD
Luxury life HD
I know the last two are shopping channels (seemingly for the super-rich), but beggars can't be choosers!

Don't forget STV HD too - it has jusssst enough content that's different from ITV1 HD to be classed as another channel.

Thank's - I did not realise STV had any different content so will check it out. Radio Times / xmltv gui has STV HD program details too so I can add it to the EPG.

Late night films are pretty much always different between STV and ITV. The STV DOG is also a bit smaller and marginally more acceptable than the ITV one too.

If you do give it a go, see if you have the same problems that I do (http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...highlight=).

Well first thing is that a normal scan and a manual scan in GBPVR did not find STV HD. In the end I had to type the tuning information into the bottom of my scan.cache. Once I had done this and mapped the new channel to an EPG slot it worked fine - and recordings do play back fine also. I have tried watching an in-progress recording, and also watching a completed recording, and the audio is OK. I am also using ffdshow for audio.

That's encouraging then. I was beginning to think it was a bug in GBPVR. Can you post a log file showing all the graph filters in use? If I play back a recording outside of GBPVR it's fine, but I can't get audio working inside of it. Except with Live TV. Tis a weird one, as every other channel is fine.

Edit: As for the scan; I can't remember how I set up the channel. Probably with DVBDream. Hmm. I wonder if something in the tuning information is wrong. I must try your cache file once the TV is free...

Edit2: Actually, probably not. The difference in the scans is minimal:
