This is one error being flagged:

there is no attribute "bordercolor"

Quote:•bordercolor (a color name or hex number; doesn't display in all browsers)

from pmwiki syntax I used this even with warning BUT every browser I tried it on there is border colour shown. Hmmm whether to remove colour!

Still working on other 2 flags from w3c

Hmmm,

think I have singled out one other of the pmwiki flag bad behaviour from w3c:

Quote:Line 181, Column 7: end tag for "div" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified
</td>
You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to "self-close" an element, that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">".

(actually appears as line 179 in source!)

but here is where end of tag appears not to be closed

<td id='main' valign='top' align='left'>

more investigation, this is something I think from within pmwiki but maybe not, could just be me tired!

Thank you Shining Dragon, many heads on problems make light work

[Edit]Got that to 2 errors now with w3c, would be nice to clear those before seeing what else is not right! [EndEdit]

You're welcome, just call me "SD", it's a lot shorter and much easier to type. ^^

Perhaps i could install the IE 9 beta on the atom here (it's no important machine). What do you want to know?

But 'SD' does not look so good as 'Shining Dragon' Wink

I would be very grateful if you could install IE9 and have a look at this with me. The first thing to do would be to replicate Sub's problem:

http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...post393452

and fix that, then I can look at how the images are scaling that you did not like?

very best

Hello Steeb!

I have just installed the IE 9 beta. As far as i can see, there's no difference between the displaying between IE 8 and IE 9.

Here are three examples (from left to right: maximized, theater, window):
[Image: nwiki.maximized6bvb.png] [Image: nwiki.theaterwaqn.png] [Image: nwiki.windowuyv7.png]

The loading time with IE 9 is on this ATOM unebelievable slow. IE 8 works a lot better on this 330er dualcore... .

What we can see on this pictures: The whole page is scaling (i am not a fan of this type of displaying, but i can't see errors). In case of the pictures we should do something to keep one size (perhaps working with a type auf thumbnails, which opens if we click on it).

Hmm.

I think the difference is the compatibility view. I've had to tick the broken document icon next to the url, since some features of Vbulletin4 werent working for me. I notice when I untick this, then the dynamic resizing seems to work.

Hello SD!

this is really helpful, thank you for doing this, (if IE9 is so slow on Atom guess you will be uninstalling it after problem solving!)

McBainUK and me did look at a pmwiki thumbnail recipe for doing exactly what you are talking on thumbnails as I wanted to use it for exactly this on the homepage, unfortunately the recipe is not quite good enough yet and I was waiting to see if it was improved. But maybe using it might be a better thing as I think it may solve all the issues. Maybe, but I will see if we can get something better for now before I think about this. What is maximum resolution you can get Atom to? Sub had the scrolling problem @ 1920x1200 (he must have very big screen and/or very good eyesight Big Grin )

Hey steeb. Smile
No, for now IE 9 can stay on this machine (where's the incredible 2d acceleration microsoft ist talking about... the ion gpu is sleeping) *gnah*
The maximum resolution on this system (semi-portable) is 1440x900 pixel.
