I lost my itv1 and some others today. Needed to rescan, no idea why. I think a rescan will update all channel details without the need to delete them first. I'm using Sandy Heath transmitter. The rescan displayed all the extra channels, that I choose not to use, so I just unticked them all and clicked OK. All working OK now.

As I might have a similar problem I would like to ask a (stupid) question: Can you record that specific channel? I have the situation that I can record all channels but half of them remain black in live tv.

I've attached the results of a ScanChannelsBDA_UK.exe scan if it heps.

301 is about the only thing on that transponder other than radio except BBC parliament (that I doubt you watch !!).
The PID looks ok, but the frequency is one of the offset ones by the looks of it.
I'd try a rescan and see if that repairs it (I think this works quite well). If that doesn't get it working you could try ticking the search with offset or whatever it is called in the device window. I'm not sure what your tuner is, but it may be on with offset problems?? have they been playing around with your transmitter??

I find this link http://www.ukfree.tv/txlist.php to be a reasonable source of transmitter info - double click on your transmitter to see details.

Thanks guys. I can now watch 301 after doing a rescan Smile

Yes, a rescan with npvr is much less disruptive (or destructive) than gbpvr.

Did it work without deleting the channel? Be nice if it did, because sub just mentioned in another post that you'd probably have to delete a channel to rescan it. Deleting channels was always a bit problematic with GBPVR, especially if you had existing recordings tied to them.

I followed macgyver. No need to delete the channel first.

A good improvement over GBPVR, esp as the Freeview people change the channels round more often then seems necessary.
