Ah OK.. need live tv. Tried graphedit when playing a recording and it didn't work. I'll try it with live tv.

It also works with recordings, I just doubled checked. You need to be running as the same user to see the graph. ie, if you start NextPVR.exe as administrator, then you'd also need to be running GraphEdit as administrator.

@Sub
Do you see any solutions to this problem? You mention multiple Audio renderers can cause this problem. Is it worth investigating with different renderers?
To my knowledge, I have never improved anything by testing any other renderer... So I always end up with using default anyway.

Or are you on this problem trying to work out a patch already?

If you leave PreferAC3=0 and change the audio stream manually during playback of a recording in process, does it go out of sync?

I've been trying things over the last 18 months with GBPVR and now NPVR, but havnt found a solution yet. I tried a big change in 1.5.33 to fix it, but it caused worse problems for some users, so I had to back that change out.

The only known workaround is going into the Decoders setting screen disabling the audio decoder for all but the audio format you want to use. This solution is find for people with one type of audio, but is too limiting for people that need AC3 and another type of audio.

Far as I know I strted both with the same account, which is an administrator account, but the graphedit 'connect to remote graph' window has nothing in it to select.

It should do. It works here, and I know others have been using it too.

Ah, I have heard of that workaround, but did not understand the reasoning for it. Until now.
Ok, then I know the situation, and I do hope you find a working solution. I find it strange though that prefering AC3 would cause this. But I guess in the world of DirectShow nothing is easy...

And as you mention, disabling HE-AAC decoders would render most of my mpeg-4 channels without any audio. So that is not usable here.
As a kind of workaround, having a keymapping for changing audio so I can map it to my remote would work nicely. Then I can reasonably easy change audio manually. Or is there one already that I have missed?

That wouldnt help you. Its not to do with preferring AC3. Its just to do with having multiple audio renderers in the graph. Manually switching to the AC3 audio track can have the same problem.
