It should give you a warning when you scan for channels in the config app if you dont have it installed. Also, it'll list an error in the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log file.

Its not given an error when scanning for channels.

From I get gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log:

17:04:07.015 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StopRecording()

GB-PVR doesn't crash. Instead, clicking on Live TV gives me "Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". Restarting Recording Services allows me to use Live TV again, but obviously it makes no difference to the timeshifting.

I hope this info is useful

Does it create a file when you schedule a recording?

Went into the TV Guide, selected the next available program to record and it errored again [Image: sad.gif]

This time I did get a folder and a zero length MPG file.

Here's the error from gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log:

17:24:00.171 VERBOSE locked=1 present=1 strength=72 quality=100
17:24:01.125 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StartRecording() finished

This time when I restarted Recording Services it came up with the error regarding "gbpvrrecordingservices.exe" and wanting to send the information to Microsoft (as in the earlier post). But now whenever I try restarting Recording Services, it comes up with this error everytime.

Hi

I bought Lifeview DVB-T Duo Cardbus for laptop and installed GBPVR latest version. I couldn't detect TV tuner. Is there any method to get it working?? Or can you recommend any other software for TV Networking?

Please help me!

Thanks

Hi Smile

I don't have the Lifeview DVB-T Duo Cardbus, I have the LifeView FlyDVB-T PCI card.

I found it was just a matter of putting the info (as mentioned in my first post) into the bda.ini file which sorted things out for me.

With the PCI version you get an "aerial". Don't use it, it's rubbish (to be polite Big Grin ). Use an external aerial. It will be much better Smile

Hi,

I'm also having probelms trying to get GBPVR config application to scan for channels before mapping. The frequencies look correct and I can also see the broadcast video in the window when it is scanning but at the end there are no channels found to map. The transmitter is Whitehawk Hill in Southern England. I have managed to get Mediaportal and MyTheatre to pick up the channels but I would like to try out GBPVR.

I have the latest version of GBPVR and the BDA ini has the FlyDVB-T setup in it.

Any ideas? :confused:

Thanks

Andy

You could try editing config.xml and setting <BDAScanType>2</BDAScanType>. It may help.

Hi,

I tried changing to BDAScanType to 2 and it didn't make any difference. I get 0 strength and quality when it goes through the frequencies and when it finishes the video picture is shown on the top right of the window and it is a good picture which seems strange since it cannot find any channels. When I use the software which came with the card it shows a strong signal and I can tune in all the channels.

What could be the problem?

Thanks for your help
