Looking at Makefile.am and how make sync works I copied the changed header files for API 1.3.0 in and I am now running on a Windows alpha7 build from this evening.

great, will this be added to sub3 git ?

This is the first version that has the fix that work with my plugin and sub's which is great for me, but FTR is broken so I based on what I am reading here it might not be the best thing to do just yet. Sub also should look to see if he needs to do anything else to support 1.3.0 fully.

I belive 1.3.0 added Marcel and Freds (Mediaportal and 4TR plugin devs) timeshifting code, really cool stuff for backends with timeshifting support. I guess there is "some" coding needed to get that working with NPVR plugin, but if you have a patch that would make plugins work with current daily's I think it would be a good idea to update the plugins, else everyone testing now will run into problems. IMO It's better to have a working plugin with missing features, than no plugin at all.

It's not a patch to sub's NextPVR plugin code, use opdenkamps repo for the header files or use sed and the xbmc repo as the source (which is what I did).

Thats all I did with the new build, I pulled in the new header files from opdenkamps library and posted a patch Windows build. Edit: I pulled the Windows patch build, a user reported it still wasnt working. I will do testing tonight (in about 6 hours.)

What didn't work? Maybe it was an older xbmc.exe they have to be in sync.

I am going to do testing tonight before I post anther build. Users were getting impatient, so I thought I would post a build with the opdenkamp changes without testing... I knew better

Wileecoyote's patched src files worked on linux (after some testing and user error on my part) Sure it's not usererror that is to blame on windows also ?
Linux 32bit build: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35064639/pvr.nex...est130.zip Installed on xbmc-xvba-testing git compiled today. I'm not 100% sure if this is the same as master or if it's a fork off master with added xvba (ATi hardware acceleration) support. |
