LiveTV Freezes after 1-2 seconds

The general problem I've seen with Ceton's is exactly the same GetDuration 2 problem, and I don't recall any lockup on changing channel posts. There is a SageDCT problem on halts where a user aked if the recording service could do som sort of error recovery.

Same issue with the posted file, however log goes from GetDuration returning 1...then 2, 3, 4, 5 upto 6

Is this a renderer only issue with NextPVR, as in can I use XBMC. Or does NextPVR render for XMBC?

I'm kind of lost on what to do...

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't think the duration was going to be your problem.

It may or may not work in XBMC. I'm not sure. I don't have a Ceton here, and I don't use Network Recorder, so I'm not in a position to reproduce this issue here. I'm not sure what to suggest.

I'd try a few things now

- fix you audio device

- bump the delay in networkrecorder.xml to 2000 or 3000 to allow a bit more buffering

- Try logs again

These logs look like what Martin mentioned, where there is no audio renderer. The audio renderer plays a very important role in playback, so you'll need to get that fixed.

Do you get audio on that machine in other apps? If you've got working speakers, then you should certainly have the 'Default DirectSound Device' present on your machine.

These played audio fine. One time it kept going for about 30sec, others were the same 1-2
