Windows 7 really wants to sleep rather than hibernate. Try this:
[INDENT]Control Panel>Power Options>Change when the computer sleeps>Change advanced power settings>Sleep>Sleep after - set to never (decrease the sleep time until "never" appears
Allow hybrid sleep set to Off
Hibernate after set to your desired minutes
Allow wake timers set to Enable
Apply[/INDENT]
See if that works.
You may be able to setup a wake event using devcon that will restart your BD device upon wake from sleep. Search on devcon start device or something like that.
Sleep is definitely better than hibernate, especially on Windows 7. (In my experience.)
