I thought that SSDs were not suitable for write intensive applications because each cell can be written to a limited number of times before it fails. Perhaps technology has improved since I saw that?

The problem was fixed by creating discrete log files for each running batch (named by time/date).

I didn't really want lots of files accumulating in my log directory so just need to figure out a way to get the info back into a single file Big Grin
In your PostEPG.bat, you could append the contents of the individual logs to the single log you want. Assuming the single log is named processing.log and the individual logs are named processing_date.log, you could have something like this:
REM change the next line to switch the actual location of your logs
cd ../logs
type processing_*.log >>processing.log
delete processing_*.log
Tuners: SD HDHR Prime (HDHR3-CC). SD HDHR Connect Quatro Tuner (HDHR5-4US) - only QAM.  EXVIST H.265 Encoder - capturing cable box.

SSDs are a lot better than they used to be now with TRIM support. If I lose an SSD used as a temporary cache I might be a bit annoyed but it's not a disaster....if I lose a 3Tb disk two thirds full of the wife's favourite recordings.... I'll be in deep sh1t !!!

Thanks for that.....I'll give it a try....should work as whilst the concurrent batches start in the same instant, they're unlikely to finish in the same second :-)
