Hi,

Just checking in again. I sent a support query to Hauppauge and they have sent me 2 registry files. Having run these registry files I have undertaken a scan and suddenly all the right channels show up. So it was nothing to do with NextPVR.

Thanks for your help and now you know that if anyone else has problems with Hauppauge based cards that could be the problem.

Any chance of posting them here so we can see where the problem was to aid future troubleshooting.

I had thought of doing that but I wasn't sure if that would be an issue as some people may run things without actually knowing what they are doing or whether the problem is similar or not. I just didn't want the site to have any issues like that. Also as I'm a junior member I didn't know if that would be acceptable or not.

I may have jumped the gun a little bit. WinTV shows up the channels properly. NPVR has located some channels but not all the channels. The channels it has located are off a different broadcast tower (I think so anyway. That's why i'm assuming the channels are about 20 MHz different to where they should be). I may try and alter them manually based off the WinTV values found. The reason I'm taking this much trouble is that I'd like to run this into XBMC with the rest of my media.

Did you try scanning 'all regions' instead of your specific region? The frequencies may be out of date.

All Countries, All Regions, Offset On/Offset Off.

It seems to be finding the channels on strange frequencies. i.e. WinTV finds a channel on 683500 whereas NextPVR finds the same channel on 642000. Same channel from a different transmitter.

If this makes things easier I have attached the log file. The difference is that it is picking up from Toowoomba East instead of Toowoomba.

If you've got two transmitters visible from your area, and you're finding it's picking up the ones you don't want to use, then you'll probably need to update your tuning ini file to match the frequencies you want to use. You can find these files in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T

Hi Sub,

First I should probably have said I hope you had a great new year.

I will do that right now. I have actually managed to manually retune it to put the right channels in (export, edit the xml file, find the correct TSID/ONID for the missing channels, import in. they are all showing up now) however I will do this and rescan so that I can see if there is a difference.

Do you want any information about anything I have done, e.g. the reg file data, the tsid/onid data, ini frequency data for this area?

If you want anything get back to me another time but enjoy your new year.

I know what the reg files are, from discussions with Hauppauge over the last few days. They're a temporary work around, only effecting the new HVR-2205/2215 in some areas of Australia. They're going to do a more permanent fix when the driver developer is back form his Christmas-New Year break (ie, a new driver).

I don't need these reg files, or onid/tsid data, but if you do end up updating your ini file, post this and I'll include it with the next installer.
