Well, the reality is that I don't mind the multiple device scenario either but my wife gets lost in my constant changing around of the devices. The TV she uses has a SageTV hd300 for cable tv and a fire tv for netflix and movies.
Mine (the basement tv) has an HD300, a fire tv, and the chromebox.
The SageTV setup uses clear QAM and analogue from Time Warner Cable. I keep waiting for either SageTV to stop providing the epg or the cable company to go all digital and encrypt everything. Either one would kill my SageTV setup. I think that if this happened I would return my fire TV to stock for netflix and amazon prime (it works here in the states) and use the chromebox with x-newa for over the air tv and my ripped movies.
