I use EPG Collector to gather EPG data and it always goes wrong for me at the start and end of daylight saving as well. My work-around is to adjust my system time by one hour on the Saturday afternoon and then correct the time on the Sunday afternoon. It's a twice a year minor irritation that I've just learned to live with.

I also use EPG Collector although I doubt that is connected with the problem but have never had a problem with daylight saving time perhaps because my server reboots around 2:30 every morning after the EPG update.

sub had a go at fixing this issue for us down this part of the world a number of daylight savings back & when he got it so it worked right for us it screwed up the UK users times so the changes got removed again... I just do the same clock adjustments as Deev8 twice a year (but since I updated to Win7 I no longer need to do the adjustment on Sunday as Win7 gets it right) so it's not a major issue really

Why not make the option a toggle, Maybe the option could become available according to what country you select in the device setup, that way, UK users wouldn't have to worry about their shows being recorded at the wrong time.

He's not correct.

A few years ago we moved from recording in 'local time', to recording in 'Universal Coordinated Time' (UTC). In UTC there is no such thing as daylight savings or clocks moving forward or back etc. This resolved these sorts of issues for most people.

It sounds like there is still some issues lurking in peripheral stuff, for example, maybe the xmltv file was in local time, and something might be going wrong with the conversion. Last time I had an example to look at closely though, when a users could see issues with their schedule recordings in a few days (with daylight savings change pending), the problem was in the xmltv file that was being fed to NextPVR. It had the wrong local times listed, as expected, recordings had the wrong time listed. Their EPG source corrected itself at the next EPG update after day light savings, and the recordings corrected themselves automatically. (in fact, the web feed their xmltv grabber got the listings from had the wrong times listed too...no nextpvr magic is gonna fix that)

A lot of EPG sources these days a UTC, so there is no daylight savings logic performed at all, and don't have to deal with this.

I get that issue around every DST change. I just "adapt" to it, because (at least in my case) the issue comes down to the EPG provider not updating the start times accordingly. So for one or two of days the EPG is "out of sync".
