Quote:- added ability to strip prefixes from show EPG titles when the EPG is imported, and have default it to include a few common nuisance that some broadcasters use (like "All New ...");

Works with DVB-T Over the air EPG - But Be Aware If you have Scheduled Recordings or Recurring Recordings with New: or what ever is now blocked, in the title they will need to be re-added.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

- if you tries to play a non-.ts file in client mode, it now gives them a message to tell them "this file type is not compatible with client mode

May I ask where? I've just resurrected my pc client and been trying to find out whey non of my recordings played ;( (I postprocess remux to mpg to make the Samsung player happy). And is there any chance or hope for future support of .mpg (if I point a video dir to them I can play them via video - but the recordings list is nicer).

Yeah sorry, I'm aware of this. All the links at the top of the wiki pages are broken too, ever since the nextpvr website was last updated. I'm not really familiar with pmwiki myself, so not really sure where to start, but have got it on my list of things to fix when I find the time. (I don't suspect it'll happen anytime soon)

I can repost this in support if it would be better there.

I had some issues with 3.3.8 (certain portions of the website didn't work), so I wanted to start fresh with 3.4.8. I uninstalled, purged the (x86) folder, purged the Public\NPVR folder, removed leftover service (doesn't uninstall service entry), rebooted, and started a fresh install.

During the install, the CMD window for NRecord opens with a "transacted installation", it moves through the Install and Commit phases and shows that the transacted install has completed. Then NRecord fails and the window shows a StackOverflowException. I THINK I had a similar problem with 3.3.8, but everything came online with a reboot (with the exception of parts of the web console).

Installing on Windows 8.1 x64 system and reproduce 100%

Screenshot attached - let me know if I can help with repro/testing or if this is expected. Like I say, it seems to be functional after the install, the service is running. I can run the NextPVR GUI just fine and start editing settings.

StackOverflowException just seems alarming Smile

Thanks again for a great product!

StackOverflowException is "normal" on a fresh install, not sure why.

I'll prepare a clean machine and try to reproduce and fix.

I've always had a half theory it might be related to having the firewall disabled.

I'v never seen it on any fresh install, but imilne might be onto something, I'v always had firewall enabled.

I had it happen on enabled, you can't just uninstall to test this you need the missing "sc delete ...." to clean it out. My gut says that first step using nrecord to enable firewall exclusions is happening before the service is fully installed.
