AH well I didn't check the forums much over the weekend. I picked up two PSPs waiting to see how the supply/demand went and of course ebay. SO far it looks like normal supply, I may keep one of them to play with of course Smile

i've been reading that it's quite common for the PSP to have dead pixels. Some users report dead pixels appear after several hours of use too. And from what i understand, sony doesn't count dead pixels as a malfunction or defect.

So Sub, just wanted to warn you that it might be difficult for you return it and perhaps you should ask your contact to check it out to make sure the number of dead pixels (if any) is acceptable.

Yeah, I mulled over the dead pixel issue a big before deciding to go ahead. I'll just cross my fingers and hope. Following you suggestion, I probably will get my contact to give it the quick once-over. If it develops a few dead pixels after I get it I'm not that bothered.

Thanks for the warning though.

"If anyone is wonder, yes - I'll change GB-PVR to auto transcode recordings for playback on the PSP."

Of course it's great, I was more intrested in what kind of support gbpvr will have for this device? Any way I will problaby order one unit from Canada (since I live in Sweden), will be lanuched here at sep 2005Sad

I'll likely just add the ability to automatically transcode a recording to PSP size after the recording completes.

What is the battery life like with the PSP between charges? Would be curious for transatlantic flights as to how long it could be used for,

cheers,
Colin.

It seems to last alright for me, but I must admit the longest consecutive time I've spent playing it is no more than about hours, so I've not really noticed.
