sub Wrote:To help us determine if it's a capture or playback issue, when you're getting these 20-25 second channel changes, when do you see a live tv buffer file created in buffer directory? ie, is it fairly immediately, or is it after 20-25 seconds. If it's created immediately, after a few seconds, if you look at the file properties, does it have data in it (ie a non-zero file size)? If you copy one of those files after say 10 seconds, can you play that file and see video?Thank you sub for your interest.
The buffer file is always created immediately. When channel change stalls (not always but often), i have two ts files: the old channel and the new channel. Obviously the new ts file is 0 length, and nextpvr (client) has a blank screen. The old file is playable. Seems like a client, not a server problem.
I've made some testing with kodi, and channel change is 2-3 secs, also on an android smartphone (via wifi).
Maybe it depends on the decoder?
Tell me if you need further logs.
Thank you,
