Just wanted to add that I really like NPVR v3.8.3!!! The enhanced TV guide, art, and web GUI really looks polished and professional. Just upgraded to 3.8.3 yesterday, straight up from 3.6.6, and everything (tuners, channels, schedules, other settings, etc.) seems to have migrated over successfully.

I have a fairly basic rig. A 10 year old HTPC, running a single core Pentium 4 HT 3.0E (Prescott), Intel 865PE chipset, nVidia 7600GS GPU, & Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. NPVR is setup with a Hauppauge WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner, and Schedules Direct.

NPVR runs like clockwork, while recording and playing back off-the-air ATSC HD transport streams. Barely runs over 5% CPU when recording. Can easily watch another recording or live TV, while recording.

I do have one question about the changes in the web GUI, which I will post over in the support area...

Bottom line, congratulations on the great effort!!!

I've repackaged the 3.8.3 installer to included the latest patches http://www.nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup_3_8_3_160929.exe

Changes
Quote:- TV Guide refreshes the pending recording list more frequently, to avoid issues where shows were scheduled to record, but not marked red.
- fixed a bug that could cause a frozen black frame, and 'not responding' UI when stopping playback
- a couple of the NextPVR.exe command line options will now show a message on the screen so you know something happened
- fix to logic which downloads new releases
- changes to settings for tweaking the transcoder arguments
- fixed an issue that could cause the 'watched' indicator to not reflect the correct value
- further updates to web UI

I also upgraded from 3.6.6

Everything seems to be working as before except:

In playback, I made custom settings in the config file for skipffseconds and skiprwseconds, and those values were invoked by using the right and left arrow keys (no ctrl). Seperately I made custom settings for skipforwardseconds and skipbackseconds that were invoked by [ctrl]-right and [ctrl]-left. Now, right and left arrow keys, whether with ctrl or not, are invoking the skipforwardseconds and skipbackseconds values.

I have a suspicion about my trouble - specifically, it appears that all of the playback keystroke controls work with either [ctrl] or without. [Ctrl]-P plays, but so does just P. [Ctrl]-F fast forwards, but so does just F. [Ctrl]-S stops, but so does just S. etc.

Not sure if this is a new design feature, or an error.

I had set the 4 custom skip values for my playback style, and programmed these 4 keystrokes to a remote. It would be nice to return to having 4 options.

Never mind. I found the <FFRWBehaviour> config setting, changed it to "skip", and now I can use the arrows plus F/R as my 4 options. I'm good.

It would be nice if the FFRWBehavior options were added to the advanced config wiki so I didn't have to guess at this.

Hi, just wanted to know if this included the "fix" for allowing kHz range for DVB-S/S2?
Just so I know if I should reimport the .DLL or use this version?
