I can see a couple of recent ones on the server, one .Net related and one specific to NPVR. Copied, zipped and attached.

Could you check to see if you have a file called NShared_new.dll around? You should only be running with the 4.2.4 versio of the dll The LiveStreams.xml error is a warning on trying to access a file that doesn't exist.

Martin, what is this /public/LiveStreams.xml?

First time I'd ever heard of it was yesterday.

Yes, it is in NPVR\web\Bin and was last modified 21 January 2019.

Delete that file. It shouldn't need a file with that name, and it might be causing problems. Also check it's not in your c:\program files (x86)\npvr directory.

That is the file saved keep in web/public that allows playback of a URL directly, bypassing NextPVR. Primarily for Shoutcast and other radio streams it can also play any file with a URL that Kodi can play from IPTV or HDHR etc to take the load off the server, and potentially save a DVB tuner.

I wasn't going to document it until later until I have a .NET core utility (which will replace WebRadio and make NextPVR as powerful as pvr.iptvsimple with full recording I

It looks like.

Code:
<streams>
    <stream id=channel_od>url</stream>
</streams>

I forgot to include the dummy LiveStreams.xml file for inclusion in 4.2.4

Code:
<streams>
</streams>

It was not in x86 but I deleted it from the other location. And live TV seems ok now, thanks.

All a bit weird: the deleted dll was related to a patched nshared.dll you issued some months ago and which was mentioned in other threads. I tried that patch when having previous problems and renamed the file as nshared_new.dll at some point. It's a long time since I coded dlls etc but I thought that the revised name would mean the library would not be called - clearly, some sort of call has been going on despite that. And then I did the upgrade to 4.2.4 as requested earlier in this thread. Because, as I said earlier, I use live TV only rarely, the issue has only now become apparent. Pure speculation but perhaps something related to the nshared and nshared_new files got screwed in the registry?

I'm really sorry for wasting your time. Whatever the specifics, it is clearly down to me.

If you remember, your problems really started a few months ago with that change to the UK DVB EPG problems when they started to include Unicode character. The process of building the web server actually re-compiles all file and uses the internal name. The problem is much bigger than live tv so I am glad we sorted the puzzle out.

Time for some green beer I think.
