@ sub sorry for the late reply my friend i was not feeling well for a few days ...anyhow i don't know how to get the log from vlc because i am a newbie in this but with my first desktop i can use the internal ip with port 8866 open on modem and i did make a m3u file eg: http://192.168.0.125:8866/channels ......but with the secound desktop again i use the internal ip eg: http://192.168.0.27:8867/channels (yes i change the port and i open it in my modem ) i can't make the m3u file------ but if i use this ip (http://127.0.0.1:8866/channels in vlc i can make the m3u file on the second desktop but i don't want to use 192.0.0.1 ...please advise thanks if you want i can pm you and you can login in my desktop and see what i'am doing wrong..

Why run the second server on port 8867? If you want two external IP ports the port mapping on the router should be able to take care of this.

thanks for the reply ...I only have one external ip which is static but those ip above are my internal desktop ip for each of them (internal ip are fake just a eg) as i said the only way i am getting to make a m3u file from the second desktop i have to use http://127.0.0.1:8866/channels it would not work with that desktop internal ip which the first desktop made a m3u file with the internal ip .....maybe i am not understanding you properly if so i am sorry..

Sorry I posted 8867 but I see you are running on 5645. I'd personally download the file on your remote PC and edit the port and IP as required. Hopefully you are running IPSEc or something that gives you a little bit of security if you are trying to play the m3u url remotely.

I don't understand how can you download the file on my remote PC and edit the port and IP as required ? can too tell me how you got access to my pc or modem?

Sorry I am not interested in helping you any further, what you are talking is fringe use anyway. Once you get it all setup you may find like many others you don't have the bandwidth for live streaming. Good luck.
