Classic is the only knewc skin that is not dependent on a base skin.
All add-ons have this issue to some extent but knewc is quite different from most others.

Classic works with Aura. There are some slight alignment issues in the guide, but it's totally functional.

So all of the other skins are only intended to work with the matching base skin, but Classic is intended to be general?

Basically yes. Classic is the original mayhem-like skin going back to xbmc and gbpvr days which I tweaked a bit when I started using it and it is fully contained. NextPVR user pkscout contributed the other skins which use more shared elements from Confluence and Estuary.

Here are both sides of the logs for the disappearing-knewc-probably-500-error issue, incident at 11:27p.

Does installing libgdiplus help?

Hmm. libc6-dev wasn't installed, but after installation, same result.

Unfortunately we lost the first set of server logs but I think it is the same error.

Code:
System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'NUtility.SkinHelper' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Gdip' threw an exception. ---> System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load shared library 'libdl' or one of its dependencies. In order to help diagnose loading problems, consider setting the LD_DEBUG environment variable: liblibdl: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It is the same error here https://github.com/dotnet/dotnet-docker/issues/618 and there are many dotnet posts with that one

What version of dotnet are you running if you type

/opt/dotnet/dotnet --info

If it is NOT 2.2.7 run the dpkg on the deb file again.

If it is the only thing I see remaining from the docker link is to install

sudo apt-get install libx11-dev
