To be clear do you want me just create the new folder . and then run the setup file again from it's current saved location? I'm confused (my new normal) .. I DO already have a C:\temp folder. And there is already an "install" text file there. Do you want me to zip and send that one or delete it and re-run the setup app again?

Yep, just send over the current install.txt file.

Okee Dokee ...

Attached zip .. I noticed several supposed references to "Unmanaged" in the debug that throws up an alarm in my mind.  And at the very end .. it simply looks like the "server" was never started.

Can you see if installing this Microsoft runtime helps?

That helps.  Got the install to finish.  But now having trouble getting my schedules direct to update.  The "first" time I tried to install this I had a lot of trouble finding the right thing to use from the suggested list. After considerable time trying the several options I got one to work.  Then the next day the whole thing stopped working entirely.  That's when I blew it away and did a 2nd new install.  And that install wouldn't even finish.  So as per our most recent exchange I  tried using the suggested VC_redist.x86 and did yet another install.    This time the install completed.
But now I can' t get my guide data loaded from Sched. Direct.  I've tried 8 of the 15 or so options that were most relevant but none work.  Says it's doing the down load but I don't see any activity.  After considerable time the channel guide is still empty.  I don't think it makes a difference ... but the visual C re-dist pack you suggested is an x86 version and my Windows system here is a 64 bit OS.  But then I'm guessing the Nextpvr app is 32 bit anyway right ?  I'm also working with a 100 percent brand new PC running Win 10 PRO instead of the old windows 7 pro system I was using for many years.  So I'm dealing with a little bit of a learning curve in some of the OS areas.  Perhaps I should just try to install the version NPVR 4 for now and get that working so I can shut down the old PC and just deal with "one" problem at a time ??  <grin>

Opps ... here is the most recent log from the temp folder.

NextPVR.exe is still 32bit, the server is 64bit. You need to post the zipped logs from NextPVR web on the Setup page.

Sorry I thought the "install logs" that sub requested earlier would be needed.  Have attached the other zip logs.

You are clicking the add lineup but when you already have it. Go to the guide screen and wait they should load.

You are getting a lot of messages

2020-04-11 19:20:20.441 [ERROR][54] 804 Tuner In Use

Which means what it says. Do you have v4 recording?

Oh boy ... Yes I still have the old HTPC set up and working.  I deliberately waited until today (Saturday) which is one day that doesn't do a lot of recording.  Just checked and I see there were various recordings were being done sporadically over the day so I can see the NEW PC which is accessing that Homerun Prime is loosing out to the OLD PC every so often.    Arrghhhhh.

I have been able to actually get the sched direct to do an epg update, but it only works like 1 our of 4 tries.  And then when it is successful all the channels either don't play or have the wrong content.  And all the while I guess my testing has been compromised as the other PC has been doing an occasional new recording.  The other old version 4 Nextpvr on the old PC is the one that is NEVER shut off.  I guess I'll  have turn the darn thing off completely and then devote sole effort to this new build.  Let me start over fresh.

Quick question.  How can I find out which of the listed Schedule Direct items to choose from the pop up list?  There are some from a comcast in andover MA, one for digital and another called something else and then 4 or 5 others that I don't know what they are.

Remember the LAST time I had to do an initial setup for NextPVR was 6 years ago.  Been running without major issues ever since so I've since forgotten everything.  Maybe if the old NPVR would have broken once in a while I might have had more opportunities to putz with it and remember stuff.  <grin>  Yeah have a laugh at my expense ...

You can go to Settings --> Guide and your EPG sources will be listed ... There is a bin icon at the right of each item so you can get rid of any unwanted SD lineups ... You might have to enter your SD username and password on  the Guide screen ... There are buttons to add a SD lineup lower down the page ... You are gonna have to choose the lineup yourself because only you know where you are ...   Smile
