If I change channels, the files for the previous channel are deleted.
If I stop watching by clicking the square Stop button in the player controls, the files are deleted.
If I close the NextPVR client window with Alt-F4 or click the X in the upper right corner (my usual method), the files are not deleted.
I just tried this here, and they weren't deleted instantly with Alt-F4 (I'll check why), but they did get automatically deleted about 15 seconds later, with this associated log message in nrecord.log:
Quote:[9] Live stream expired without 15 second renewal. (handle:200005)

Oh it is still happening ... for sure. I never commented about it as I figured it was not really that important on "the list".

If it can't delete the files at the time, because some other process or thread was using them, v5 will still clean them up eventually. (even if it's not until the application is restarted)
Ultimately, with the complications of different ways files can be accessed, and different behaviour from different clients, it can't always gaurantee it can delete the file immediately. v5 is a little better than v4 at deleting the files at the time, but sometimes it still needs to clean them up later.
